Today I spent the morning at Powis Castle, Welshpool for the start of stage 4 of the Tour of Britain. This is the largest bike race in the UK and several top riders were taking park. World Champion Thor Hushovd of Garmin Cervelo and Mark Cavendish, HTC Highroad, winner of this year’s Tour de France Green Jersey. The race consists of 9 stages all over Britain, finishing in London on Sunday. Sixteen professional teams from around the world, including Team Sky who arrived at Powis Castle in their £1 million team bus, are taking part hoping to win the Golden leader’s jersey.

The thin blue line that runs down the spine of the team's new jersey serves as a constant reminder of the narrow margin between winning and losing, success and failure and being good and becoming great
